Watch Before Installation

Why watch before you install?

  • Ensure proper installation for maximum safety
  • Get the best performance and long-lasting results
  • Avoid common mistakes and save time

Install in 4 Simple Steps

1

Clean & Prep

Wipe with isopropyl alcohol. Surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust or grease.

2

Spot Test

Test on an inconspicuous area first to confirm surface compatibility.

3

Measure & Cut

Cut to length with sharp scissors. Round the corners to prevent edge lifting.

4

Apply & Bond

Peel the release film and apply. Place the film over the grit, then press firmly with a scraper. Allow 24h to cure.

Important Precautions

  • Temp Control: Apply only when surface is at least 10°C (50°F). Pre-warm if cold.
  • Surfaces: Avoid raw wood, porous concrete, or submerged areas. Prime/seal first.
  • Removal: Heat with a hair dryer, then peel slowly to minimize adhesive residue.

Why It Works

Hex-Grip Technology

Hexagonal honeycomb structure maximizes grip contact points for superior traction.

Multi-Layer Build

Reinforced multi-layer construction handles heavy-duty wear and tear.

Long-Lasting Durability

Engineered for extended service life on stairs, ramps, decks, and walkways.

Weatherproof

Stands up to rain, washdowns, and outdoor conditions year-round.

Care & Maintenance
  • Clean regularly with mild soap and water.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals and solvents.
  • Inspect periodically and replace if worn.
  • Use a soft brush to clean grit trapped in hex-grip recesses if needed.
Safe Removal
  • Warm the tape with a heat gun or hair dryer.
  • Peel back slowly at a low angle.
  • Remove any residue with adhesive remover.
  • Test on a small area first.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What surfaces does it work on?

Concrete, metal, tile, sealed wood, glass, and fiber cement work best. See the Surface Guide above for details. The hex-grip pattern works exceptionally well on outdoor decks and ramps.

2.Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The Hex-Grip pattern is particularly effective on outdoor stairs, ramps, and decks where superior traction matters in wet conditions.

3.How long will it last?

The hexagonal structure resists premature wear better than uniform grit surfaces, extending product life in heavy-duty applications. Lifespan depends on traffic; inspect periodically and replace when the hex pattern is heavily worn.

4.Can it get wet?

Yes, the tape is water-resistant once installed. The hex-grip pattern actually enhances wet-surface traction by directing water away from contact points. Make sure the surface is fully dry before applying.

5.How do I remove the tape?

Warm with a hair dryer, peel slowly at a low angle, then clean any residue with adhesive remover.

6.What is the Hex-Grip technology?

Hex-Grip uses a patented hexagonal honeycomb structure on the surface, which maximizes contact points with the foot or wheel — delivering exceptional traction even when wet or under load. The hex pattern also resists premature wear better than uniform grit surfaces, extending product life in heavy-duty applications. Ideal for stairs, ramps, decks, and outdoor walkways where superior wet/dry traction matters.
